Steven R. Previte, MD, FACS
Dr. Steven Previte is from the Boston area and graduated from Boston College High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Boston College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine where he graduated as a member of AOA, the national medical honor society. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston and then completed his urology training at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Previte is an Associate Clinical Professor of Urology at Boston University School of Medicine and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Previte is Board Certified in Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Previte enjoys sports and music. He has coached baseball and hockey for many years. He plays violin in the Reading Symphony Orchestra.

Ossama E. Sakr , MD, FACS
Dr.Sakr was born, raised, and educated in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, Egypt. After completing a year of internship in Alexandria, he relocated to the United States for further education and training. He finished three years of surgical training at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Beach, NJ and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, OH . He then served his Urology Residency at Boston University Medical Center. In addition, he is Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sakr enjoys outdoor activities; including mountaineering (he has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro), biking, running (he has run numerous marathons), photography and soccer.

George E. Canellakis, MD, FACS
Doctor Canellakis is a native of Massachusetts, born in Haverhill and educated in Boston. He was awarded three degrees from Boston University: a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts, and a Medical Doctorate.
After medical school, Dr. Canellakis trained in General Surgery at the Case Western Reserve-University Hospitals of Cleveland. He then went on to complete his residency training in Urologic and Transplantation Surgery at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester.

In addition to being fully trained in all aspects of General Urology, Dr. Canellakis spent one of his residency years entirely devoted to specialty training in Pediatric Urology. This was done at the world-renowned Great Ormand Street Hospital for Sick Children and Infants in London, England.
Dr. Canellakis is Board certified in Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Christopher Ip, MD
Dr. Christopher Ip was born in the Bronx and then grew up in the village of Ardsley, a suburb of New York City. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and then attended the New York University School of Medicine. After graduation, he moved to the Upper Eastside to train at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Urologic Surgery. During his residency, he also developed his skills in both minimally invasive and laparoscopic urologic surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Ip enjoys the game of basketball, playing the guitar, snowboarding and spending time with his wife, two children and dogs.

Teodora Kurteva, MD
Teodora Kurteva, M.D. joined Northeast Urologic Surgery, P.C. in September of 2015. Dr. Kurteva completed her Urology Residency at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center, New York in 2015. She attended Tufts University Medical School prior to that. She enjoys Salsa Dancing, skiing, swimming, anthropology and traveling. She is fluent in Bulgarian.
